 PEORIA is a warm and friendly town. In 1889, the first post
 office and school were built to accommodate the new newcomers
 that decided to join the four original families that settled here. It
 didn’t take long to create community and a place to call home.
 Peoria has experienced great growth, but remains a place for
 people who value the simplicity of a small town, but also desire the
 conveniences given by close urban proximity.

 Peoria is big on sports. The Peoria Sports Complex is home of
 Spring Training for the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners.
 Every year, fans get the opportunity to get up close to the players
 and the game they love. The complex has a main stadium,
 basketball courts and other facilities for the town’s community-driven
 year-round events. The Challenger Space Center is also located in
 Peoria. It is a memorial dedicated to the astronauts of the
 Challenger STS – 51L flight in 1986. Astronomy buffs and people
 who just want to learn about the mysteries of space will find the
 exhibits, camps and programs filled with exciting information about
 our universe. Peoria has a reputation among the arts community for
 their support and participation. The Peoria Performing Arts Center
 and the Arizona Broadway Theatre are actively involved in bringing
 arts and culture to this area. Scenic Lake Pleasant is also a brief
 drive from Peoria, and offers boating, waterskiing, camping, and
 other activities.

 Along with homes in every price range, there are numerous
 luxurious developments to choose from such as Vistancia, named
 Best Master-Planned Community of the Year, Cachet Homes at
 Blackstone, Westbrook Village, and Dove Valley Ranch.
 Communities within Peoria offer everything from golf courses,
 walking trails to crystal-clear community pools. If it wasn’t for the
 many amenities Peoria provides these communities give you little
 reason to leave your immediate area!
